Lindsay Drecoll is a partner in the firm’s Chicago office, where she serves as the chair of our Hospitality Restaurant & Retail practice. She concentrates her practice on civil litigation defense, with an emphasis on hospitality, construction and professional liability, including medical malpractice and nursing home negligence. Lindsay has extensive experience representing contractors, architects, owners and engineers in both construction defect and construction accident cases. She has also defended numerous medical professionals, hospitals, nursing homes, dialysis centers and other health care facilities.
Lindsay holds a Certificate in Trial Advocacy from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and was a member of the Loyola University Chicago Corboy Trial Team. In addition to trying cases to verdict, Lindsay has resolved numerous disputes prior to trial through various means of alternative dispute resolution and handled coverage issues and appeals. She has also made several contributions to legal literature, including fifteen publications addressing issues impacting the construction, health care and hospitality industries.Lindsay is also actively involved in several professional organizations. She was selected as a Fellow of the Construction Lawyers Society of America and as Vice Chair of the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel (IADTC) Construction Law Committee. Additionally, she is a contributing member of the Trial Law Institute (TLI), the Defense Research Institute (DRI) and the Claims, Litigation and Management Alliance (CLM). She previously served as a judicial extern in the Cook County Law Division and as a volunteer at the Cook County office of the Public Defender and Cabrini Green Legal Aid.
