Lindsay Drecoll Brown

Lindsay Drecoll Brown is a Partner in the firm’s Chicago office where she concentrates her practice in civil litigation defense, with an emphasis on construction law, professional liability and product liability. Ms. Brown has extensive experience defending contractors, architects, owners and engineers in both construction defect and construction accident cases.  She has tried cases to verdict, drafted appellate briefs, and represented clients in connection with complex litigation, including class actions and multidistrict litigation.  Ms. Brown has also favorably negotiated and settled a wide variety of cases for her clients at mediation, arbitration and pre-trial settlement conferences in state and federal court. 

Ms. Brown received her J.D., cum laude, from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where she was a member of the Corboy Trial Team and a recipient of the CALI Award for Excellence in Legal Writing.  During law school, Ms. Brown earned a Certificate in Trial Advocacy and served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Donald O’Brien in the Cook County Law Division.  In addition, she gained valuable trial experience while volunteering at the Cook County office of the Public Defender.  In addition, Ms. Brown holds a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University, where she graduated with high honors.

Ms. Brown is admitted to practice in Illinois and before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.  She has been recognized by her peers as both an “Emerging Lawyer”  and a Super Lawyer "Rising Star.” In addition, she is the Vice Chair of the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel’s Construction Law Committee and a frequent author of the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel’s IDC Quarterly Construction Law Column.
